MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.

From Nov. 21 to 26 there were:

  • 612 calls for service
  • 17 arrests
  • 12 traffic collisions
  • 35 crime reports taken

  • Manhattan Beach Police conducted a traffic stop on Nov. 21 in the 1400m block of Rosecrans Avenue at about 10:09 p.m. after noticing vehicle code violations. According to police, during the stop, officers discovered that the driver was on parole and the passenger had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Further investigation of the vehicle revealed approximately $700 in stolen clothing and narcotics including PCP, methamphetamine and crack cocaine, according to MBPD. Both men were arrested for various charges.
  • MBPD responded to a report of a home invasion robbery in the 4400 block of Highland Avenue at about 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 22. The victim told police the suspect was in their garage putting on the victim's clothes and throwing things around. When police arrived, they found the suspect wearing the victim's shoes and bracelet and arrested the suspect without incident. According to MBPD, the suspect appeared to be under the influence of drugs or having a mental health episode. The suspect was taken in for a mental health evaluation and a crime report was taken.
