Show Off Your Artistic Talents At Paint By Number Event
Enjoy a day of art, food, and music at the Unita Art Festival.
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Artists of all skill levels, young and old, are invited to attend the Unita Arts Festival at their Manhattan Beach location on Friday, August 6. The highlight of the event will be the paint by number giant mural drawn by artist Ali Futtrel where the community can leave their imprint.
Unita staff members will be standing by to assist people through the painting process, according to Tom Cocking, Unita community manager.
"A lot of us that are part of Unita love art, but we don’t necessarily have that skill," Cocking told Patch. "We thought it would be great to have the South Bay community be able to contribute to something that will be permanent and leave a mark on our wall. It would no longer just be a single artist's mural but all of ours."

The Unita Art Festival is described as an event at which the community can celebrate the arts, local artists, and the South Bay community. There will be live music and live art going on throughout the space as well as local artists from the South Bay Artists Collective showcasing their work. Food will be provided by Veggie Grill and there will be an open bar as well as King Harbor providing beer and Juneshine with their hard kombuchas. For those trying to remain a bit healthier Vive Organic will be providing their health and wellness shots.
"We opened our third location right before the pandemic, so people were never really able to come in and see what it was all about," Cocking said. "We stuck it out through everything and want to celebrate all the things we missed most for the past year and a half."

Unita is a South Bay workspace with locations in Manhattan Beach. El Segundo, and Hermosa Beach.
"We want everyone to know that Unita is much different than most co-working spaces," Cocking said. "We believe in community and supporting local small businesses. We believe that your workspace shouldn’t be something you stress about going to, it should be a place where you are surrounded by art, music, and like-minded people."
The Unita Art Festival takes place Friday, August 6, at 4 p.m. at their Manhattan Beach location, 516 N. Sepulveda Ave. The mural will be painted on the back wall of their parking lot outside.
