'Solidarity Sunday' To Feature Trans Speaker At Manhattan Beach Church
The Manhattan Beach Community Church plans to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ community on Sunday, Oct. 1.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Manhattan Beach Community Church plans to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ community on Sunday, Oct. 1.
Amid a rising trend of anti-transgender discrimination, hate and violence, the church has chosen Trans Chorus of Los Angeles Executive Director Kathryn Dainty Davis as the featured speaker for the service. Davis will share her story about her journey as a trans woman from early childhood through the ups and downs to become her authentic self.
"I understand the difficulties of dealing with growing up and suffering through gender dysphoria and worrying about being discovered. It is wonderful that there is support now and some understanding, but we still have a long way to go," Davis said.
