South Bay Panhellenic Awards Manhattan Beach Women Scholarships
The Panhellenic Alumnae South Bay Association awarded scholarships to 17 graduates and alumni from South Bay schools.
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — One Mira Costa High School alumnus and one recent graduate were awarded scholarships from the Panhellenic Alumnae South Bay Association (PASBA), it was announced Thursday.
PASBA has provided scholarships to college-bound women from the South Bay for more than 40 years, awarding more than $500,000 in scholarships over that time, the PASBA press release said.
This year, PASBA awarded 17 total scholarships — eight were awarded to high school seniors and nine were awarded to alumni of South Bay high schools who are now collegiate members of National Panhellenic sororities.

"The awards are determined based on criteria that include academic achievement, campus or school activities, demonstrated leadership, and philanthropy," the PASBA press release said.
