Authorities Warn Of Increased Bacteria At Marina Del Rey Beach
Authorities advised against swimming at a Marina Del Rey beach due to increased bacteria levels.

MARINA DEL REY, CA — The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health on Monday advised against swimming at multiple county beaches, including Mother's Beach in Marina Del Rey.
Bacteria levels at five Los Angeles County beaches were found to be higher than acceptable county health standards on Monday, according to the department.
Other beaches included in the advisory were Santa Monica Pier, Pico-Kenter Storm Drain at Santa Monica Beach Tower 20, Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach and Topanga Canyon Beach in Malibu. Visitors should avoid swimming, surfing and playing in the water at these beaches.

The county has placed many bacteria advisories on Marina Del Rey beaches in recent months. The advisories at Mother's Beach and the Santa Monica Pier have been in place for weeks.
