Del Rey Townhome Fire Under Investigation
Crews were able to contain a fire to a single unit of attached townhomes at a Del Rey complex Friday morning.
DEL REY, CA — Los Angeles firefighters were able to stop a townhome fire from spreading to nearby units in Del Rey Friday morning.
The blaze was reported just before 8:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of South Stoner Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find flames in a first-floor unit. They were able to contain it to the single unit and extinguish the fire in about 15 minutes, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
No one was hurt in the fire. The home was vacant at the time, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
