Man Drowns Sunday In Marina Del Rey: Authorities

Despite attempted medical care, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

LOS ANGELES — A man drowned Sunday morning in Marina Del Rey, according to authorities.

The incident occurred around 8:40 a.m. in the 5500 block of South Ocean Front Walk, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, which reported that a roughly 50-year-old man was seen entering the ocean channel at Marina Del Rey Harbor.

The man was found about 30 yards away by lifeguards and, despite attempted medical care, was pronounced dead at the scene.
