Organizer of Marina del Rey Hollywood Conference Found Dead
Producer leaves behind a wife and two children.

Brian Phillip Gerber, 41, a documentary producer and organizer of Digital Hollywood’s summit in Marina del Rey, was found dead on Wednesday in an apparent suicide on the Angeles Crest Highway, according to a Los Angeles County Coroner spokesman.
Gerber’s body was found on a cliff near mile marker 32.35 at approximately 7:35 a.m., according to the coroner’s office preliminary report. A suicide note was found near the scene, according to the L.A. Weekly.
“Our worst fears regarding Brian Gerber have been confirmed. Brian’s family thanks you for all the condolences, good thoughts, prayers and asks for your patience and understanding during this most difficult of times. Obviously they are overwhelmed with this situation and are asking for privacy. We will be in touch as soon as arrangements have been made for services,” a post on Gerber’s Facebook page said on Wednesday.

Gerber's producing credits include Leonardo DiCaprio's global-warming documentary “The 11th Hour” and “The Dungeon Masters."
He had two children with actress Arabella Field, according to published reports.
