SigAlert: 2 Acres Burn In Brush Fire Near 90 Freeway In Del Rey
A SigAlert was issued on the 90 Freeway in Del Rey while firefighters battled a brush fire.

DEL REY, CA — A SigAlert was issued on the 90 Freeway in Del Rey as firefighters battled a 2-acre brush fire Monday afternoon. No one was hurt.
All westbound lanes were shut down shortly after 1 p.m. and traffic was diverted at Culver Boulevard for approximately 30 minutes due to the fire, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fire was reported about 12:01 p.m. near the eastbound and westbound portions of the Marina Expressway, east of the Marina del Rey Garden Center, Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Flames were contained by 1:15 p.m., Prange said. No structures were threatened.
"Portions of the Marina Expressway are shut down for responder safety," Prange said.

Drivers were urged to use alternative routes, including Centinela Avenue to Jefferson Boulevard back to Lincoln Boulevard, Brian Douglas of KNX reported via Twitter.
It's unclear what caused the brush fire.
