Each year the Martinez Police Officers' Assocation awards a scholarship, in memory of Officer Tarantino and Sgt. Starzyk, to a deserving college-bound senior that resides in Martinez.
The scholarship is intended to support students pursuing a career in the law enforcement field. The MPOA encourages all interested students to apply.

In addition to the form, please submit an essay of 300-400 words, describing why you are seeking this scholarship, your plans for college, and future career goals. Lastly, include a reference letter from a teacher or other school administrator, along with certified high school transcripts.

The deadline for application is April 19, 2012, with the scholarship awarded at the Senior Scholarship/awards Night, Wednesday, May 30th.
