125th Anniversary Parade In This Marin County City Causes Several Road Closures
There will be rolling road closures and detours before and during the duration of the parade, police said.

MILL VALLEY, CA — There will be a parade on Sept. 1 in Mill Valley to celebrate the 129th anniversary of the city, causing many road closures and detours.
The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at Mill Valley Middle School and will end in Lytton Square in downtown Mill Valley.

- Leave Mill Valley Middle School heading toward Camino Alto
- Left on southbound Camino Alto toward Tamalpais High School
- Right on northbound Miller Avenue toward downtown Mill Valley
- Left to remain on northbound Miller Avenue at Sunnyside Avenue
- Right on Throckmorton through Lytton Square
- Disperse on E. Blithedale Avenue
Lovell Avenue will temporarily become a two-way street between Old Mill Street and Corte Madera Avenue from 6 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. No parking signs will be posted and enforced.
Downtown Mill Valley will be closed to traffic between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Miller Avenue, between Sunnyside and Throckmorton avenues, will remain closed to traffic between 10:45 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Parking Restrictions:
- Starting at 8 a.m. on Sept. 1, "No Parking" restrictions will be enforced at the following posted locations:
- Lytton Square
- Depot Plaza
- Miller Avenue between Sunnyside and Throckmorton avenues
- Throckmorton Avenue between Miller and E. Blithedale avenues
- South side of Corte Madera Avenue between Throckmorton and Blithedale avenues
- Sycamore Avenue between Camino Alto and Bay Front Park
- Marked locations on Sunnyside Avenue near the bus stop
Many of the parking restrictions will be lifted when the parade ends.
Accessible Roadways During the Parade:
- Blithedale Avenue
- Southbound Miller Avenue between the Lumberyard and Tam Valley
- Molino Avenue
- Edgewood Avenue
- Lovell Avenue
