• Steve McNamara was part-owner of The Ark, longtime owner of Pacific Sun (thearknewspaper.com) — Longtime Mill Valley resident and journalist Steve McNamara, former Pacific Sun owner and part-owner of The Ark, has died at 91 at his Mill Valley home. He shaped local media for decades, ran a Mill Valley printing facility, and will be honored at a memorial at The Outdoor Art Club in town in August 2026.
