
is showing its support for Earth Week this year by planting trees. Chef Duilio Valenti, the man behind Frantoio’s cuisine, has created a special four-course Chef’s Menu and the restaurant will plant a tree for every one sold during Earth Week, which runs from April 16th to April 22nd. The restaurant has connected with the Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign to have a tree planted in the Atlantic Forest in Brazil for every four-course meal sold.
Frantoio, which recently , is well known for supporting the local economy and the environment by sourcing local and organic ingredients. The chef’s menu incorporates these local ingredients to create the contemporary Italian cuisine for which Valenti is famed and at $39 dollars for four courses, the menu offers exceptional value. Including an appetizer, a pasta dish with freshly made pasta, an entree featuring local seafood or meat and, of course, one of Valenti’s mouthwatering desserts - this special menu is not to be missed.
“Earth week is a massively important event, which helps to raise awareness of environmental issues worldwide.” said Frantoio Ristorante interim General Manager Tom Buswell. “We wanted to show our support and what better way than by planting trees."

Frantoio opened in August 1995 near the entrance to Tam Valley, next door to the Larkspur Hotel Mill Valley.
