UPDATE: Tam Valley Dog Missing Since Christmas Is Found

A large, dark brown, timid female standard poodle that had been lost since on Christmas Day in Tam Valley was found near Shelter Bay on Sunday, Jan. 8.

The dog was lost on Dec. 25 near the intersection of Spruce Street and Highway 1. She weighs 60 pounds and is wearing a black nylon collar with an ID tag with the phone number of her owner Jacqueline Jones and her name "Rachel." 

She was also wearing a pink and gray striped wool scarf around her neck. She is extremely frightened and will run away from people. You may be able catch her with food ancl patience, but Jacqueline may be the only person she will allow to approach her.

Rachel has been spotted every day since she was lost but is too scared to approach strangers. She has been sighted near Goodmans, on Hamilton Drive, at the Mill Valley dog park and the hill behind Tam High. Jacqueline is offering a reward for Rachel's safe return.
