Bass Legend George Porter Jr. To Perform In Mill Valley

MILL VALLEY, CA — A legendary bassist will perform in Mill Valley early next month.

George Porter Jr. & Friends W/ Runnin Pardners will perform at Mill Valley’s Sweetwater Music Hall Sept. 3 and 4.

Porter, whose career spans seven decades, is best known for playing alongside Art Neville in The Meters, which formed in the 1960s.

George Porter Jr. & Friends W/ Runnin Pardners earlier this year released their latest album Crying for Hope, a 12-track album recorded remotely during quarantine.

Both Sweetwater Music Hall performances start at 9 p.m. with doors opening at 8 p.m.
