Fundraiser Started For Owner Of Kitesurfing Shop Damaged In Marin County Fire
The fundraiser looks to support the owner who lost all of his gear and tools in the fire.
GREENBRAE, CA — Locals have started a fundraiser to help support the owner of a kitesurfing store in Marin County who lost all of his tools and gear in a fire at his business Tuesday.
Evan Mavridoglou owns Live2Kit, specializing in kitesurfing and other watersports equipment in unincorporated Greenbrae, Marin County. The store was heavily damaged by a fire early Tuesday morning, according to the Central Marin Fire Department.
A GoFundMe was started to help support Mavridoglou who lost his tools and equipment in the fire.

"Luckily no one was harmed. These weren’t just tools of his trade, they were the foundation of his passion and the way he shows up for so many of us in this community. Anyone who knows Evan knows how generous, hardworking, and supportive he is — always ready to lend a hand, share his knowledge, or show up when someone needs help," the GoFundMe stated.
The fire at Live2Kite, located at 44 Industrial Way, was reported around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, fire crews observed flames burning through the building's roof. Firefighters successfully battled the blaze, protecting adjacent structures, and declared the fire under control approximately two hours later.
The fire was confined to the structure where it originated, and no injuries were reported, officials confirmed.
Fire officials noted that crews stayed on site throughout Tuesday as the investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
