The vandal or vandals also spilled gallons of hazardous chemicals, authorities said.

The incident occurred between the evening of March 15 and the morning of March 19, the park service said. The vandal or vandals broke into the missile site magazine in the Marin Headlands, spray-painted throughout the building and spilled gallons of the chemicals, according to the park service, which said anyone involved may have suffered chemical burns and needed medical attention. The park service did not specify the nature of the hate speech that was spray-painted.
