High Wind Warning Issued For Marin County

Up to 60 MPH gusts are expected to hit the North Bay and other parts of the Bay Area.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning Wednesday night through Thursday morning for the North Bay Coast, Marin Hills and other parts of the Bay Area.

The NWS said the 20 to 30 MPH winds with gust up to 60 MPH will hit Marin County.

The NWS is advising locals to expect damaging winds that could down trees, snap power lines, which could result in property damage.

Officials said residents should secure loose outdoor objects that could be blown around or damaged in the wind.

"Use extra caution as winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles," NWS officials said.

The weather service has extended the high wind warning to include San Francisco and coastal San Mateo County.
