ID Theft, Two-Cab Pileup and Neighbor Says the Deuce Is Wild

In this week's roundup of police activities, there's a couple of fender benders, an alleged hit-and-run and keyed car with some history.

March 13

12:32 a.m. – A resident of Lovell Ave. reported a dog barking in the area of Throckmorton Ave. near downtown for the past several hours. Police checked the area but didn’t hear any dogs.

6:04 p.m. – After a fender bender at Ashford and East Blithedale avenues, a resident said the other driver had an expired driver’s license and asked to have him use his girlfriend’s information for an insurance report. The man said the other driver also had alcohol on his breath.

March 14

9:47 a.m. – After seeing a maroon Honda sedan stopping in the middle of the road on East Blithedale Ave. and Camino Alto, a resident reported a possible reckless driver.

March 15

9:21 a.m. – A resident reported that a driver hit multiple parked vehicles in the parking lot on East Blithedale Avenue. Police took a report.

March 16

8:15 a.m. – After being notified that someone tried to open a Wal-Mart account using his personal information, a resident of East Blithedale Ave. reported the incident to police. The man hadn’t sustained any financial loss yet as a result of the alleged identity theft.

1:22 p.m. – A resident of Dorset Lane reported that her debit and credit cards had been used to buy $555 worth of items. Police took a report.

2:15 p.m. – Two taxi cans crashed into one another, with one backing into the other at the on Redwood Hwy. Frontage Road. Neither driver was injured in the accident.

March 17

10:49 a.m. – A resident reported that someone keyed her blue Dodge Durango sometime between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the . The SUV sustained a scratch, approximately two feet in length, to the driver’s side door, police said. The woman, who works at the center, told police that similar incidents had happened before, usually on Saturday mornings. She believed her ex-husband’s girlfriend was responsible. There were no witnesses.

4:14 p.m. – A man who rents a house on Lovell Ave. reported that someone posted the property for rent on Craigslist without the knowledge of the renter or the property management firm. The company flagged the ad on Craigslist and the resident wanted police to be aware of the incident.

9:43 p.m. – A resident who lives near the called police to report that the music at the bar was too loud. The resident also asked that police do extra patrols in the area so that the music didn't get loud again and to catch any drunk drivers. Police notified the owners to close the doors of the bar and try and keep the noise down.

12:59 a.m. – Police arrested a woman in her 20s outside the 2am Club on suspicion of public drunkenness. The woman was booked into Marin County Jail.

March 18

1:19 p.m. – A woman reported that she was walking across the parking lot of when she was hit by a dark blue compact car. As she fell to the ground, the woman said she kicked the car, and then the parties exchanged words. The driver then drove off, heading down Redwood Hwy. towards San Francisco. Police took a report.
