MARIN COUNTY, CA — The Marin County Free Library is celebrating its community of avid readers for reaching a major milestone this month.

According to the MCFL, library patrons recently surpassed one million digital checkouts over the app Libby, which gives library card holders free access to 100,000 eBooks, audiobooks, comics and other titles on their smartphones, computers and digital readers.

The library consortium MARINet is tasked with connecting more readers with library resources and utilizing Libby was among its efforts to expand digital options.
