Marin Man ID’d As Fatal Shooting Victim: Cops
Authorities are seeking witnesses in connection with Thursday afternoon's fatal Marin City shooting.
MARIN CITY, CA — Authorities have identified the victim of Thursday’s fatal Marin shooting as Randy Ray Belanger, an 18-year-old San Anselmo man.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the shooting.
Witnesses at 3:49 p.m. reported hearing gunshots and seeing a person down in the 400 block of Drake Avenue, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said.

Arriving deputies found the victim unresponsive, the Sheriff's Office said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office said there was no known threat to the community.

No additional information was immediately available.
“Detectives are continuing their investigation to identify the shooter(s),” the MCSO said in a statement Friday morning.
