MILL VALLEY — A popular Marin brewery is shutting its doors for good.
Beerworks, which closed its 173 Throckmorton Ave. location at the start of the pandemic, announced earlier this month on its Instagram pagethat it won't reopen.
But the thriving Fort Point Beer Company, which launched from the Mill Valley location, will remain intact, the company said.

“In case you haven’t heard the bittersweet news, we are saying goodbye to our very first beer venture: Mill Valley Beerworks,” the company said.

Fort Point Beer Company has four locations, three in San Francisco and one in Oakland, that will remain open, the company said.
"We are sad to say that we won’t be re-opening, but it’s hard to argue that 11 years isn’t a good run," the company said.
"Thank you to everyone who’s ever been part of the Beerworks family, and to anyone who’s ever bellied up to the bar, ordered a pint of Old Speckled Hen, and raved about the burger ."
