New Eatery Readies To Rock Mill Valley

MILL VALLEY – Music, meet gourmet eats.

Starting next month, one of Marin’s most popular venues will bring the two together.

Rock & Rye will bring the flavors of New Orleans and South America to downtown Mill Valley at Sweetwater Music Hall.

Rock & Rye is expected to open Aug. 2 at the destination for music enthusiasts throughout the Bay Area 19 Corte Madera Ave.

“I love to embrace the new world foods that really influence cuisine worldwide,” Chef Rick Hackett said in a statement on the venue’s website announcing the restaurant’s opening.

“Potatoes, peppers, corn, green beans, yuca, sunchokes…they all represent beautiful cultures with magnificent people developing dishes that have really steered my deep reverence for international styles of cooking. Having had various opportunities to cook abroad widens my scope of ways to interpret dishes with integrity and full of delicious flavors.”
