Scammers Pretending To Be Police Target Residents In Marin County (patch.com) — Mill Valley residents are being warned about scammers who pose as Mill Valley police officers, using spoofed phone numbers, fake badge numbers, and threats about warrants or fines to demand money or personal information. Police stress they will never call to collect payments or request sensitive data, and urge anyone in Mill Valley who lost money to this scam to report it via the nonemergency line. The department also advises residents to lock down social media privacy and never pay strangers with gift cards or wire transfers.

In Your Town for Dec. 11, 2025 (marinij.com) — Mill Valley residents should know that city planners have approved variances for unpermitted deck and patio work at a historic Blithedale Canyon home on Ralston Avenue, resolving a stop-work order. The roundup also notes Mill Valley Rotary’s support for a countywide Scout food drive and planning decisions in San Anselmo and Larkspur.
   

3. Marin students win national honors for film projects (marinij.com) — Mill Valley’s Tamalpais High students just earned top national honors for their film projects, beating out more than 1,700 entries in the National Student Production Awards. Their nonfiction, sports story, and photography wins highlight the strength of Tam’s media program, while a Novato High filmmaker also captured a national fiction prize.
   

4. ‘We can change lives': Marin teen to perform at benefit show for music nonprofit (marinij.com) — A Marin teen musician who has played at Mill Valley’s Sweetwater Music Hall is leading a benefit concert in Larkspur tonight to support Hungry for Music, which donates instruments to kids in need. Her multigenerational band, The Drop D’s, will play a free show at Citrine, where donations are encouraged and discounted shopping is offered with proof of giving.
