Blaze 65% Contained East Of Milpitas: Cal Fire
The wildfire was reported at 5:24 a.m. near Sweigert Road off Felter Road east of San Jose, according to a Cal Fire report.
MILPITAS, CA — Fifty acres burned Wednesday evening in a ranch land fire in unincorporated Santa Clara County, Cal Fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 5:24 p.m. at 5551 Sweigert Road off of Felter Road east of San Jose and Milpitas, Cal Fire spokeswoman Pam Temmermand said.
No one was injured, and no evacuations were ordered. The threat to one structure was mitigated and forward progress was stopped about 90 minutes after the fire was first called in.
