CHP Helicopter Rescues Injured Hiker In Risky Maneuver: Video

SAN JOSE, CA —The California Highway Patrol said one of its helicopter units rescued a hiker Saturday night who fell from a rock outcropping earlier that evening in San Jose's Alum Rock Park.

CHP officials said the man fell around 6 p.m. and injured himself. Firefighters could hear him calling for help but couldn't get to him, due to the terrain.

The CHP helicopter located the man and rescued him around 10:30 p.m.
