Earthquake Rattles Bay Area
Here's what the U.S. Geological Survey has to say about the earthquake.
SAN JOSE, CA — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude reading of 3.4 was felt in the Bay Area at 3:15 p.m. Friday. It was about 5 miles deep.
The epicenter was the Alum Rock area of San Jose, according to the United States Geological Survey.
There have been no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The earthquake comes just one day after a 4.7 earthquake rattled a large swath of Southern California. That temblor was centered in Malibu.
