Four Armed Robbery, Assault Suspects Arrested In Motel Room

The victim told police he met a woman on the Internet and agreed to meet her in a motel room when four allegedly assaulted and robbed him.

MILPITAS, CA -- An adult couple and two juveniles were arrested for allegedly assaulting and robbing a man in a botched motel room hookup 11 days ago, city police indicated.

The victim told police he met Mercedes Rozina Valles, 21, of Sacramento online and made plans to meet her in a room in the America Best Value Inn on Main St.. The hookup allegedly went awry when another man, 20-year-old Salvador Andrew Ramirez, II, of Sacramento emerged from the bathroom with a male and female juveniles with a handgun. The suspects prevented the victim from leaving, stole his wallet, cell phone, car keys and clothes, while Ramirez struck the victim on the head with the gun.

The victim escaped and called police. His property was recovered and the four were taken into custody. One of the two handguns found by police was stolen from Washington.

Ramirez faces charges of robbery, conspiracy, possession of a stolen firearm and high-capacity magazine, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony.

Valles was also booked into Santa Clara County Jail on robbery, conspiracy, firearm possession and contributing to the delinquency of a minor charges. The two juveniles, whose identities were undisclosed, were also booked on robbery, conspiracy and firearm and high-capacity possession with felony intent to commit a crime as well as for false imprisonment.
