Milpitas Celebrates Earth Day

New trees spruce up Strickroth Park.

More than a dozen volunteers and students planted new trees to brighten Strickroth Park on Saturday.

The crew planted three purple leaf plumbs and three crepe myrtle trees. They also picked up trash, raked leaves, checked for graffiti, pulled weeds and reported park concerns.

Volunteers included the Executive Lions Club Milpitas, Milpitas Gateway, Headway Technologies and students from the Leo Club of Milpitas High School.
