Should the city pull overgrown weeds?

Last month, Milpitas leaders declared weeds to be a public nuisance.

As a result, city workers are eyeing a few overgrown properties and have said if property owners don't pull the weeds, the city will. Then they'll bill property owners for it, or put a lein on their tax bills.

City council will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Tuesday for Milpitas residents to share their thoughts. Stop by city hall to tell your elected officials what you think.
