Transient Arrested, Accused Of 2 Milpitas Burglaries: Police

The man was booked into jail twice on 2 business burglaries; the second time on possession of stolen property: Milpitas Police say.

MILPITAS, CA — A 29-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of burglary in connection with two separate incidents last week, the Milpitas Police Department reported Tuesday.

Officers responded to Bowlero at 1287 S. Park Victoria Drive for a burglary alarm activation at Bowlero on Aug. 27 at 8:13 a.m. and found an open door with no one inside. Surveillance
footage showed a male suspect entering the closed bowling alley through an unlocked door and leaving prior to the officers’ arrival. The suspect took food and alcohol from the business. Officers recognized the suspect as Italo Paez-Alvarez.

The following day, an officer arrived at the Milpitas Dental Center at 1101 S. Park Victoria Drive to investigate a prior burglary. Surveillance footage showed the business was burglarized on the same day of the Bowlero incident. A male suspect forced open a door to get into the closed business and took a laptop computer. Officers were able to identify Paez-Alvarez as the suspect in the dental office burglary as well.

Officers immediately began searching for Paez-Alvarez in those areas he was known to frequent. A
police sergeant found him on Aug. 29 at 2:10 p.m. near Seasons Marketplace at 1535 Landess Avenue and took him into custody. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for burglary.

About 24 hours later, Paez-Alvarez was already out of custody and returned to the area.
Paez-Alvarez was in possession of the stolen laptop from the Milpitas Dental Center. Officers arrested him for the second time and had him booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for possession of stolen property.
