1 Dead In OC House Fire: Authorities
"Family members made it out without injuries, but tragically one did not," the Orange County Fire Authority said in a social media post.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — One person was killed in a house fire early Sunday in Mission Viejo, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
Firefighters responded to the blaze around 2:30 a.m. on Athena and found that the fire had spread from the first floor to the second.
"Family members made it out without injuries, but tragically one did not," the agency said in a social media post. "Because of the extreme conditions inside, firefighters were pulled out of the house and went into a defensive strategy — attack from the outside."
