Grand Theft Suspects Caught In The Act In Monrovia
Police were investigating a report of a suspicious car in the parking when a suspect ran out of the store with merchandise in hand.

MONROVIA, CA ― Two suspected shoplifters were caught in the act by police Wednesday at a Monrovia business, police said. A third man was arrested at the same time for an outstanding warrant.
Officers received a call around 11:20 about a suspicious car in the parking lot of a business in the 500 block of West Huntington Drive, Monrovia Police Department said. The driver was in the car with its engine running and the truck open, police.
"As the officer was speaking with the driver, a second male adult ran out of the business carrying two large mesh bags filled with stolen merchandise," Monrovia Police Department said. "The suspect saw the officer and dropped the bags."

At that point, a third man walked out of the store followed by an employee to told police he believes that man was involved in the theft, police said. Police determined the third man was not involved with the other suspects but he did have a warrant for his arrest.
The man was subsequently arrested for that warrant. Police did not say what the warrant was for. The other two suspects were arrested on suspicion of grand theft.
