Monrovia Firefighters to Ditch Fire Hoses for Spatulas

The Monrovia Firefighters Association will be cooking pancakes next month to benefit a local charity.

From the city manager's weekly report:

In a long standing tradition, the City’s firefighters will be ditching their helmets and grabbing for their chef hats on Saturday, May 11 for the Monrovia Firefighter Association’s Annual Pancake Breakfast.

From 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Station 101, 141 E. Lemon Avenue, fire fighters along with volunteers from the Knights of Columbus will be serving up the hot cakes in addition to offering fun activities such as a bouncy house, face painting, balloons and a junior challenge – which will include children getting the chance to dress up like a firefighter.
