Moorpark's Carrara Pastries Expands to Agoura
The pasticceria will hold its grand opening Sunday from 12-5 p.m.
Moorpark residents hankering for an authentic Italian pastry with a hot cup of cappuccino have had the option of stopping in at Carrara Pastries since a pair of brothers opened shop in 2011. Now, the tasty treats will be available beyond city limits.
Brothers Damiano and Massimiliano Carrara, originally from Tuscany, Italy, are expanding to nearby Agoura Hills. Carrara Pastries opens its second location Sunday at 28914 Roadside Drive, Suite 107.
Massimiliano, a graduate of the Italian Pastries Accademy of Rimini, serves as head baker while Damiano runs the business.

The bakery will feature such Italian delights as tiramisu, cheese cake, cannolis and a variety of sweet torta. Beverages will include coffees, specialty teas, Italian sodas and fresh juices.
"All of our pastries will be made in our bakery in Moorpark and brought over fresh every morning," Damiano said.
For a light bite, Carrara Pastries will offer small sandwiches made with focaccia, prosciutto and mozzarella.
The grand opening will take place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will include three buffet tables and a barista serving hot coffees.
