Kiwanis Club Accepting Grant Requests

The Kiwanis Club of Mountain View Foundation is currently accepting grant requests that meet a critical health or human care need in the city of Mountain View.

Grant awards should address the needs of children under the age of 18 or seniors age 60 and over. Grant awards must have objectives that are time-specific and measurable. 

Organizations submitting grants must have an IRC 501(c)(3) status. Proof of 501 (c)(3) with a copy of Federal Tax-exempt Notification Letter is required when submitting a grant request.

The Mountain View Kiwanis have awarded over $1 million in grant requests in the last ten years.

The Kiwanis Club of Mountain View will fund Capital Campaign projects that are consistent with our priority to provide services to low-income children, adolescents or seniors.

Grant applications are accepted from October 1st through December 1st of each year. The deadline for this year’s submission is Dec. 1, 2011. Applications must have proper postage to be considered. Grant applications received that are postmarked after December 1st, or delayed beyond the December 1st deadline due to improper postage will not be considered. Organizations that submit grant applications that are received after the mailing deadline will be notified of non-consideration.

Funding recommendations will be presented to the Foundation Trustees at the January Board of Directors meeting.

Recipients will be notified in writing of the grant award and the date of the award presentation. Funds will be awarded at either a January or February Kiwanis Club luncheon meeting (TBA). Meetings are held at 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. each Wednesday at Ristorante Don Giovanni, 235 Castro St., Mountain View.
