The first of the two incidents occurred in 2011, but then 12-year-old didn't report.

A 50-something adult man who allegedly exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl as she walked home afterschool Monday is sought by police, law enforcement officials reported Tuesday.
This may also be the same man who allegedly exposed himself to the same victim in February 2011, according to the . However, she didn't report the incident at the time.
In a statement, the department explained that at approximately 3:30 p.m. on May 7, the walked home from school on the 100 block of North Rengstorff Avenue when a man in a red Jeep, possibly a Cherokee, pulled up alongside and exposed himself to her while seated in his car.

This appeared to be the same tactic he allegedly used a year earlier. Then, the 12-year-old walked near the on Middlefield Road when the suspect pulled up in the same jeep.

Though the victim did not report the incident a year ago, she described that this time the man wore similar clothing: a black baseball cap, gray t-shirt, blue shorts and sunglasses. His gray hair was still medium length and he had gray mustache.
Afterward, the victim told her parents and the school. School officials called the MVPD to officially report it on Tuesday, May 8.
A sketch of the suspect will be made available. The MVPD continues to actively investigate this case.
"Although this case sounds a little odd at first, given the description of the suspect is the same in both cases even though the crimes occurred one year apart, the MVPD believes both of these crimes occurred," said Wylie. Also, she added that more so than the victim's memory, the fact that the same car was used is more important.
However she acknowledged that "victims, especially younger victims, can confuse the finer details of a case."
"The description of the suspect is from the victim’s memory. It may not be 100 percent accurate," she said. "Memories are rarely 100 percent accurate."
The MVPD believes this man may have exposed himself to other students or adult females in the past as it is not uncommon for these types of crimes to go unreported. Anyone who believes they were victimized by this man in the past is encouraged to call the MVPD now at 650-903-6395.
