Motorcyclist Killed On Lundy Ave. ID'd By Santa Clara Co. Coroner

The death of the 37-year-old marks the third fatal traffic collision on San Jose streets in 2018.

SAN JOSE, CA – A motorcyclist who died in a collision Monday evening in San Jose has been identified as 37-year-old David Mojarro, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Mojarro, a San Jose resident, was traveling south on a 2010 Suzuki when a Toyota Camry made a left-hand turn directly in front of his motorcycle at the intersection of Lundy Avenue and Chen Street.

He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to police.

The Toyota's driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol is not thought to be a factor in the collision, but police say marijuana may have been involved.

This is the third fatal traffic collision on San Jose city streets so far in 2018.
