Mountain View Residents Arrested in Los Altos and Palo Alto
One booked for embezzlement and another for burglary in brushes with the law over these last few days.

Mountain View resident Ricardo Gonzalez Torres, 18, has been arrested and booked into jail for felony embezzlement under CA Penal Code section 503 on May 3.

According to Palo Alto Police Officer Marco Estrada, Torres worked at the Macy's in the Stanford Shopping Center and between March 25 and April 28 made four fraudulent returns on items that he hadn't purchased.
Torres then put the returned cash, which totalled $2,394.22 on gift cards.

Burglary and Possession of a Controlled Substance
Friday night, May 3 started with the alleged theft of alcohol at 8:25 p.m. from Andronico's at Rancho Shopping Center in Los Altos. Los Altos Police Sgt. Cameron Shearer said it started when two women entered the store and stole alcohol. They were stopped by the manager, but fled before just before the police arrived.
Police officers spotted the car leaving the parking lot, Shearer said, and tried to stop it but the car sped off. The police tracked down the vehicle a couple of streets away and two suspects were taken into custody.
Arrested was (removed), who was booked at the Santa Clara County Main Jail for burglary, reckless driving, evading a peace officer, and resisting arrest.
The second suspect arrested was Michaela Carson, 18, of Mountain View, who was booked at the jail for burglary and possession of controlled substance for sale.
