Mountain View's Unemployment Continues Downward Trend
The county's February figure now the lowest for that month in the past three years.

Unemployment rates in the state and in the Bay Area continued to drop in February, according to employment data released Friday.
In Mountain View, as in Santa Clara County, the rate has decreased once again, according to the state Employment Development Department (EED).
Mountain View's rate fell 0.5 percent from 5.9 percent in January to 5.4 percent in February 2013. The higher January figure likely accounted for the large number of seasonal workers let go after the busy holiday season. From January to February, 200 people entered the workforce dropping the unemployment figure from 2,600 to 2,400 unemployed, according to the EED.
