Lily Clay convicted for siphoning $350,000 from a Redwood City company.

A Mountain View woman who pleaded no contest to embezzling $350,000 from a Redwood City construction company was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison, according to San Mateo County prosecutors.

Lili Clay, 50, was the controller for Lencioni Construction Company in Redwood City when she issued approximately $350,000 worth of unauthorized reimbursement checks to herself from company funds, according to District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.

When the business owners discovered the thefts and confronted Clay, she admitted the theft but fled from the building, Wagstaffe said.
