Photo of the Day: Mountain View Cop Gets a Ticket
Imagine that after a long day of work, you get back to your car and see this! What do you think about the work the MVPD is doing? Leave them a comment on Patch!

Recently Mountain View Patch highlighted that the Mountain View Police Department had gotten hip to the whole social media scene.
In addition to their Facebook page—which has a lot of useful information about public safety—and really fun photos, the department has a Twitter account. (For those who haven't tried it, it's so easy, even the Pope can do it!).
So over the weekend the MVPD posted the following on Twitter:

@MountainViewPD: THANKS to whomever left this "ticket" on one of our patrol cars today in #mountainview pic.twitter.com/I9J2hMVu
The "ticket" was a handwritten restaurant paper napkin with the message:

"This is a ticket for being such an awesome cop! Merry Christmas!"
That's a nice gesture! Who else would you surprise with a "ticket?"
What other kind and spontaneous gestures have you witnessed or received this holiday season? What would you tell the local police department about the work they do around town? Tell us in comments!
Don't miss a thing in Mountain View!
