Mountain View police and fire pulled out all the stops selling the Pink Patch, which raised $1,000 for two foundations fighting the disease.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- The Pink Patch project brought in a lot of green for two foundations chosen by the city's police and fire departments trying to combat cancer.

City fire presented checks Tuesday morning to two cancer treatment organizations -- Cancer CAREpoint and Bay Area Cancer Connections.

Beyond the patch sales, other efforts included proceeds raised through the “Fit to Fight” campaign promoting health and fitness during Yoga and Zumba classes from last October.
