POLL: How Important are Test Scores?

API scores were released Thursday, and most of Mountain View schools fared well.

The California Academic Performance Index is a tool that the state uses in order to rate a school's performance on scale of 200 to 1,000. California's benchmark, or expected average is 800.

Mountain View schools, overall, did well on the compared to others in the state, most raising their scores. How important are these scores to you? Do you base your decision on schools on this number? Or do you factor it in with other variables like school climate and teacher retention? Surrounding community?
