Sexual Assault Reported Near Lawrence Caltrain Station

A woman was walking toward the Lawrence train station when a man grabbed her from behind and started groping her.

SUNNYVALE, CA -- Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred Dec. 13 at about 6 a.m. south of the Lawrence Caltrain Station near Willow and Aster Avenue.

An adult female victim was walking on the street towards the train station when an unknown male suspect grabbed her from behind and began groping her. The assault was interrupted by a passerby, and the suspect fled westbound on Aster.

The suspect is described as possibly a Hispanic male, standing almost six feet tall with a medium build and wearing a maroon colored jacket.

Sunnyvale detectives are asking individuals who may have witnessed the assault and neighborhood residents with surveillance cameras to come forward.
