South Bay Burglary Call Leads to Felon's Arrest
A man who was suspected of car burglary wasn't guilty of the crime, but wound up being arrested anyway.

SAN FRANCISCO PENINSULA -- A man who was suspected of car burglary in the South Bay wasn't guilty of the crime, but wound up being arrested anyway.
Police encountered the man after receiving a call about a car burglary in Sunnyvale, according to public safety officials.
At 8:39 p.m. on Jan. 15, officers responded to a parking lot in the 500 block of North Lawrence Expressway where the burglary was reported. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect, but determined a burglary did not actually take place, public safety officials said.

Officers, however, determined that the suspect was a convicted felon in possession of ammunition and drug paraphernalia, public safety officials said. The suspect, whose name and city of residence have not yet been released, was arrested on the scene.
