6 Injured in Crash Near Hwy 79, Hwy 74 in Winchester

Six people suffered injuries Friday in a Winchester crash involving three vehicles, according to CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.
Fourteen firefighters responded to the wreck that was reported at 6:53 p.m. on Winchester Road at Catlin Avenue in the community of Green Acres, according to a report written by Melody Hendrickson, spokeswoman for CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire.
Two people were taken by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment of moderate to major injuries, while four others were transported for minor injuries, Hendrickson wrote.
CHP reported that all lanes of Winchester Road at Highway 74 were blocked as a result of the crash.
As of publication time, it was not known if lanes had been reopened.
