Annual Murrieta Firefighters BBQ Celebrates 78 Years With The City

MURRIETA, CA—The annual Murrieta Firefighters' BBQ is almost here. With food, music, and fun, as well as the department's long and storied history of commitment to the city's public safety, there is much to celebrate in 2025.

The free-to-attend BBQ is planned for Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Murrieta's Town Square Park, located at 1 Town Square, Murrieta.

"Dating back to 1947, the Firefighters BBQ is one of Riverside County's longest-running events. Attendees can look forward to various exciting activities," spokesperson Dawn Morrison said.

The event includes:

  • Live Music: The Bruno Mars Experience and DJ Chris Warren will perform at the Murrieta TownSquare Park Amphitheater.
  • Delicious BBQ & Food Vendors: Enjoy a smoked tri-tip lunch and various food truck options.
  • Family-Friendly Activities: Participate in a cornhole tournament, explore the vendors' market, and relax in the beer and wine garden.
  • A dedicated kids' zone will entertain all ages.
  • Fire Explorers "Muster" Competition: Witness the future of the fire service at a thrilling competition between fire explorers and cadets across Southern California.
