Deadly Crash Near Cajalco Road, Road Closures In Place

MEAD VALLEY, CA — A woman was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision at a Mead Valley intersection, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The fatality occurred at about 12:20 p.m. at Cajalco Road and Seaton Avenue, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said two cars impacted in the middle of the intersection, but no other details were immediately available.

Paramedics arrived minutes later and pronounced one of the drivers, identified only as a woman, dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

California Highway Patrol officers shut down the intersection to conduct a preliminary investigation and clear the wreckage.

The closure was expected to remain in effect for several hours.
