Fire Engulfs Menifee Home, Displaces 7 Residents, 2 Dogs

MENIFEE, CA — A fire Thursday morning tore through a Menifee home, displacing seven people and two dogs.

The blaze was reported at 8:08 a.m. in the 27000 block of Swift Street.

When crews arrived on scene, the two-story home was fully engulfed in flames, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading to nearby residences, but major fire and smoke damage made the home uninhabitable, the agency said.

No injuries were reported.
